Founder and Principal Designer
Dr. Patrick Leung has been recognised for his outstanding contributions to the design industry and conferred Doctor of Humane Letters by Lincoln University in the United States in 2012. He graduated with flying colours from the School of Design at Hong Kong Polytechnic University back in 1978. Dr. Leung has been selected one of the Top Ten Designers in China and in Hong Kong, as well as one of the most influential ones in Greater China. His works were also selected to exhibit at the UN Headquarters in New York. His other professional titles include Honorary Advisor of Hong Kong Interior Design Association, MCSD (England) MDIA (Australia) and Executive Committee of C Foundation Shenzhen.
Dr. Leung founded PAL Design Consultants in 1994, having throughout the years worked with international five-star hotel resorts, clubs as well as various commercial property and real estate projects in Hong Kong, China and overseas – many of which have since transformed into iconic local landmarks. His design philosophy brings together innovative creativity, timeless appeal and spiritual allure, effortlessly fusing the best elements from both the East and the West. Each space has been artistically designed with harmony and comfort in mind to enhance the quality of life, and for an environment which brings fun and joy.
Leung and his team has since garnered more than 300 international awards, and his efforts have been unanimously acclaimed by worldwide industry practitioners. One of his most significant recent achievements is the Mandarin Palace Villa in Nanjing, which was also awarded the IIDA Design Excellence Award (Hotel Design).

Origin
The design director, Mr. Patrick Leung, born on 1956, Canadian, graduated 1978 at the Design Department of Hong Kong Polytechnic University with distinction. Mr. Leung became as member of Chartered Society of Designers in England in 1979. At the same year, he joined Alan Gilbert & Associate as Designer and promoted as a Senior Designer in 1981. Mr. Leung also promoted as Senior Associate in 1984 and with Alan Gilbert & Associate. He played important role at several prestige large-scale projects, such as 5-star hotels at Mainland China, Asia and Middle East.

1987Joined P & T Architects & Engineers Ltd. as Senior Designer to set up interior design department handling hotel projects in China.

1991Promoted to be Associate and invited to the Board of Director of P&T. Design projects including Standard Chartered Bank Headquarter, Hong Kong Telecom offices, Tian Lun Dynasty Hotel & Liangmahe Hotel in Beijing, Central Hotel in Nanjing, BNI Bank in Jakarta, etc. Also, he became a member of Chartered Society of Design (MCSD) UK.

1992Invited by Mr. K.S. Li (Cheung Kong HoldingsLtd.) to design his private office at Cheung Kong Centre, Central, Hong Kong.

1993Participated in the design projects for many high-end residences of Hong Kong billionaires such as Mr. Li Ka-shing, Mr. Lau Luen-hung, Mr. Peter Woo, Mr. Yung Chi-kin and etc. Then, Patrick successfully becomes a Top Designer in Hong Kong.

1994Set up his own design consultants firm known as PAL Design Consultants Ltd. Interviewed by numerous media as SCMP, Ming Pao Daily, HK Economic Times, Hinge, Dimension, and etc.

1998Invited to be Judge for the Asia Pacific Interior Design Awards 1998. At the same year, he achieved as the Hong Kong's Top Ten Designer by Home Journal Magazine.

1999Invited to be a Principal speaker at Conference for IBEX in Hong Kong and joined an Executive Member of Hong Kong Interior Design Association (HKIDA).

2000Elected as Vice-Chairman of Hong Kong Interior Design Association. He was invited to be a Principal Speaker at Hong Kong Design Services Expo in Shanghai by Hong Kong Trade Development Council.

2005Achieved as Annual Outstanding Designer of Interior Design Media Prize. Mr. Patrick Leung Masterpiece work “SPA MTM” has been successfully published at “INTERIOR DESIGN” (October issue) magazine from USA. He becomes the first Hong Kong designer ever to have project appeared in this international renowned magazine. He re-nominated as Vice –Chairman of Hong Kong Interior Design Association, a Member of The China Trade Counselling Committee by HKTDC and an External Assessor of HKIVE.

He achieved the third time World’s Leading Interior Designer of Andrew Martin International Interior Design Awards and China Top Ten Grand designer. -
2011Achieved awards as “Grand Prize Winner”, “The Best Hotel Lobby Design” and “The Best Hotel Decoration” of IHRA Hotels China / CIID INTERIOR DESIGN China Hotel Design Award 2011. He was invited to be Professional Judge of 2011 China's Most Successful Design Awards. Also, he was honored 2011 Hall of Fame China Award by INTERIOR DESIGN Magazine. Then, PAL Design Consultant Ltd awarded the Hong Kong's Most Valuable Companies Award by Mediazone Group of Publications, regarding as the Oscars of Hong Kong's Business World.

2012Presented with an Honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters by Lincoln University, commending his outstanding achievements in career. He was also awarded as Fellowship and Chartered Manager, Canadian Chartered Institute of Business Administration (CCIBA). Then, he was honored China Hotel Design Leading Figure Personnel Award in the 12th China Hotel Golden Horse Award, The 6th China (Shenzhen) International Interior Design Cultural Festival “The Best Designers of Greater China”, Member Committee of “Nest Award” China International Space Environment Art and Design Competition and China International Space Environment Art and Design Summit , 2012 CIID The Influential Man of the Greater China Interior Designer Award.
